Annual list identifies the top one per cent of scholars globally

Global insights and analytics firm has released the , which this year includes a number of รรอลสำฦต (รรอลสำฦต) scholars, identifying them as pioneers in their fields.

The list, announced on Wednesday 15 November, highlights scientists and social scientists who have demonstrated significant and broad influence globally.

Three รรอลสำฦต scholars on the list appeared in the Cross-Field category, identifying researchers who have contributed to highly cited papers across multiple fields, including Professor from the School of Business, Senior Professor from the Intelligent Polymer Research Institute (IPRI) within รรอลสำฦต’s Australian Institute for Innovative Materials (AIIM), and Distinguished Professor of Public Health from the School of Health and Society.

In the Social Science category, Professor from รรอลสำฦต’s School of Health and Society features in the list.

Distinguished Professor from the Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Material at AIIM appears in the Materials Science category.

รรอลสำฦต Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research and Sustainable Futures) Professor David Currow congratulated the scholars on their achievement as global research leaders.

“It is wonderful to see the influential work of รรอลสำฦต researchers recognised in this year's Highly Cited Researchers List. The list confirms รรอลสำฦต's high-impact research, pushing the boundaries of knowledge to create a sustainable future,” Professor Currow said.

“The University has an outstanding reputation for world-class research, focused on supporting the best intellectual and technical talent to deliver real and sustained change.”

The list also features a further four scholars with a secondary affiliation with รรอลสำฦต through the Institute for Superconducting & Electronic Materials (ISEM) at UOW’s Innovation Campus.

Emeritus Professor appeared on the list twice, for Chemistry and Materials Science. Honorary Fellow , Emeritus Professor and Honorary Fellow Yang-Kook Sun appear in the highly cited list for Materials Science.

The list is drawn from the publication of multiple Highly Cited Papers™ which rank in the top one per cent by citations for their field/s and publication year in the Web of Science over the past decade. It identifies the research institutions and the countries where they are based.

The methodology that determines the “who’s who” of influential researchers draws on the data and analysis performed by bibliometric experts and data scientists at the Institute for Scientific Information™ at Clarivate.

David Pendlebury, Head of Research Analysis at the Institute for Scientific Information at Clarivate, said: “The Highly Cited Researchers list identifies and celebrates exceptional individual researchers at the รรอลสำฦต whose significant and broad influence in their fields translates to impact in their research community and innovations that make the world healthier, more sustainable and more secure.

“Their contributions resonate far beyond their individual achievements, strengthening the foundation of excellence and innovation in research.”
