รรอลสำฦต Early Start Discovery Space and Science Space to resume in-person sessions
Parents and children can participate and enjoy in-person activities from next week
The Early Start Discovery Space and Science Space at the รรอลสำฦต (รรอลสำฦต) will welcome parents and children to attend in-person sessions on campus, starting Monday 18 October 2021.
Both venues will operate under COVID-safe protocols and will require all children over 12 years to wear a mask and visitors 16 years and above to be fully vaccinated to be eligible for entry.
In addition to welcoming visitors on campus, the Discovery to You and Virtual Science Space sessions will continue to be offered to people who are unable to attend in-person sessions at UOW.
รรอลสำฦต Early Start Discovery Space Manager Josef English said the University has been working tirelessly to bring in-person sessions back in a COVID-safe manner.
“We are grateful for the support of the community throughout the lockdown and are looking forward to seeing our families back to play - COVID safely - in the Discover Space on 18 October,” Mr English said.
“While some things have changed, been updated or are completely new, we still have the Experiences and Encounters children and families have come to know and love in our space!”
To support the community during the transition out of lockdown, Early Start Discovery Space will continue to offer its popular Discovery to You online experiences on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with bookings between 10am to 1pm.
รรอลสำฦต Science Space Director Mr Stuart Creal said the University is looking forward to welcoming the parents and children back on campus.
“We are thrilled to be able to continue to offer this experience to the community,” Mr Creal said.
“The Science Space team can’t wait to reopen our facility and welcome all our families back for a COVID-safe experience.
“Despite the success of our very popular Virtual Experiences, it’s never the same as exploring the multiple exhibits, seeing a live show or taking a journey across the solar system in our planetarium.”
“The team have also been busy refreshing so many of our exhibits to enhance visitors’ future experience and to gain more from a visit.
“Science Space looks forward to giving parents and children a warm, COVID-Safe welcome where we have ‘Facts you can Feel’.”
All facilities, operations and cleaning at the University follow the strict NSW Health guidelines.
