New CEO says รรอลสำฦต Pulse will be heart of the campus
From five-star hotels to the head of Australia’s newsagency network, Alf Maccioni has had an interesting – and diverse – career that has taken him across the world.
Now, as CEO of รรอลสำฦต Pulse, he is embarking on a new chapter, one that he describes as “exciting”.
“I can the opportunity we have with รรอลสำฦต Pulse, what it can be and do for the staff and students at UOW,” says the London native, who began his working life in the high-end hotels of the city’s Park Lane.
“It is a blank page for us to create an amazing service.”
รรอลสำฦต Pulse, which launched on January 1, brings together the services and facilities previously provided by UniCentre and URAC. The aim is to streamline services and provide better facilities to enhance campus life at UOW.
Mr Maccioni, who joined รรอลสำฦต from the Australian Newsagent Association, worked in luxury hotels in the UK and Australia before transferring to the academic world at Macquarie University.
He said his breadth of experience has provided him with an invaluable understanding of the importance of customer service, particularly when it comes to universities.
“When I saw the role as CEO, the concept of รรอลสำฦต Pulse resonated so much with me,” Mr Maccioni said.
“I want UOW Pulse to be another reason that students come to รรอลสำฦต. It will be at the heart of the campus and allow us to create an amazing experience for students and staff.
“I want to hear from anyone in the campus community who has suggestions for how to improve services and facilities. My door is open.”
